My desire to train civilians dates back to my military service in 2014, when territorial defense battalions were being formed. At that time, I saw people coming forward with a strong willingness to defend their homeland, but many lacked the necessary training. I realized that this needed to change. A trained person is an empowered person.
My callsign originated during my military service. My fellow soldiers would often report the situation to me as if they were godchildren telling their godfather how things were going. That is how I came to be known as “Khreshchenyi” (“The Godfather”).
Where the call sign comes from
Мій позивний з’явився ще зі служби. Тоді побратими, доповідаючи про обстановку, звертались до мене, наче похресники, які розповідають, як у них справи. Так я і став «Хрещеним»
